The Aircast Air-Stirrup Light Ankle Brace is designed with semi-rigid shells prevent further injury while allowing normal movement. The brace features anatomically designed shells for acute ankle injury, chronic instability and first/second degree ankle sprains. This Aircast ankle brace model resists inversion more than taping, yet normal flexion is virtually unrestricted. This makes it a good option for supporting the ankle with all-day activity.
Similar to the standard Aircast Air Stirrup Ankle brace (patented duplex air cell system incorporates two pre-inflated overlapping cells distal and proximal that provide support and produce graduated compression during ambulation), this model's combination of foam padding and a distal air cell provides superior cushioning of the injured joint. The universal fit allows the Aircast Air-Stirrup Light Ankle Support Brace to be worn on either the left or right foot. Intended for both men and women, one size fits most.
