Four separate layers make DeRoyal Covaderm® Plus Adhesive Wound Dressing the ideal multi-layered composite wound dressing for many applications: layer 1 is a nonadherent contact layer, layer 2 is a soft pad to absorb drainage, layer 3 is a semi-occlusive polyurethane film to maintain moist wound healing, and layer 4 is a conformable adhesive-coated tape. It maintains a moist environment for the incision site while protecting it from outside contaminants. Covaderm Plus is widely used for pressure sores, leg ulcers, secreting lesions, to cover a discontinued IV site, and for dressing laparoscopy sites after surgery (c-sections, saphenous vein harvest, open heart surgery, and other incisions).
