Short Description
The Breg Philippon Hip Brace (formerly Bledsoe) is the gold standard for hip arthroscopy and labral tear recovery. Developed with Dr. Marc Philippon, it features a low-profile design and easy-to-use slide tabs for precise range-of-motion control, ensuring maximum protection and patient comfort during post-op rehabilitation.
The Breg Philippon Hip Brace is designed to provide controlled range of motion and support following surgery. Designed in collaboration with Dr. Marc Philippon, MD, Director of Sports Medicine/Hip Disorders at the University of Pittsburgh, the Philippon hip brace features a low profile design for patient comfort and soft foam waist and thigh cuffs for a comfortable fit. The Bledsoe Philippon Post-Op Hip Brace limits hip flexion/extension as well as abduction and adduction in 15° increments from -30° to 105°. It can also lock in any position from -30° to 60° making it highly adaptable to a variety of patient hip protocols. The post-operative or post-injury brace protects patients following including total hip revisions, arthroscopic hip repairs or other hip joint surgeries, injuries or problems that can benefit from range-of-motion control.
Breg Philippon Hip Brace Key Features:
- Precision Range of Motion (ROM) Control: Easily adjust hip flexion and extension in 15° increments (from -30° to 105°). This allows for strict adherence to post-surgical protocols during the critical first weeks of healing.
- Static Locking Capability: The hinge can be locked in any position from -30° to 60°, providing rigid immobilization when required by your surgeon.
- Custom-Contoured Fit: Features moldable aluminum shells in the waist and leg cuffs, allowing the brace to be shaped to your specific anatomy for superior stability.
- Advanced Breathability: Constructed with double-thick, ultra-breathable polyurethane foam padding. The wicking loop-pile surface keeps skin cool and reduces irritation during extended daily wear.
- Streamlined Low-Profile Design: Engineered to be less bulky than traditional hip braces, improving patient compliance and comfort whether sitting, standing, or lying down.
- Rapid Application: The intuitive three-strap system and slide-tab length adjustments allow the brace to be fitted in under 3 minutes, saving critical time in the Operating Room or clinic.
- Universal Symmetry: A versatile design that fits both the Right or Left hip, simplifying inventory for clinics and ensuring a correct fit for every patient.
- Adjustable Telescoping Bars: Available in Short and Long lengths with slide-tab adjustments to accommodate varying femur lengths and patient heights.
- Available in Short or Long length: See sizing chart for measurement/fit help.
