How To Attach The Suspension Sleeve Wrap
To attach the Breg Latitude OA suspension wrap, lay the brace flat and attach the wrap using the hook and loop (Velcro) closures. Ensure the wrap closure tab is on the same side as the brace closure tabs. Then, position the brace on the leg, securing the thigh section first, followed by the calf section, and finally the suspension wrap around the calf, tightening it securely. Detailed Steps:
- Prepare the brace: Lay the Breg Latitude OA brace flat, ensuring it's properly positioned for your leg (hinge aligned with the knee joint).
- Attach the suspension wrap: Align the hook (rough) side of the wrap with the loop (soft) side on the inside of the brace. The wrap closure tab should be on the same side as the brace's closure tabs.
- Position the brace on your leg: Place the brace on your leg, making sure the hinge is aligned with your knee joint. You can use your non-surgical knee as a guide.
- Secure the thigh section: Fasten the straps on the thigh section of the brace, starting from the bottom and working your way up.
- Secure the calf section: Fasten the straps on the calf section of the brace, ensuring they are snug but not too tight.
- Tighten the suspension wrap: Wrap the suspension wrap around the calf, over the brace, and secure it with the Velcro closure. Ensure it's snug, but not constricting.
- Final checks: Make sure all straps are properly secured and the brace is comfortably fitted.
Tips for Optimal Fit: Proper alignment: Ensure the hinge of the brace is properly aligned with the knee joint. Strap tightness: Tighten the straps gradually, ensuring they are snug but not too tight. Pay special attention to the strap around the calf, as it helps prevent slippage. Consult your doctor: If you have any issues with the fit or function of the brace, consult your doctor or a qualified orthotics professional.
