The Breg PTO Knee Brace provides effective patellofemoral support with a uniqe buttress design that's effective for treating pain around your kneecap. The patella buttress not only normalizes tracking, but also controls hyperextension of the knee as well. The specialized hinge dynamically adjusts the amount of compression applied through the lateral pressure plate on the patella buttress according to the amount of bend in your knee. As you straighten your knee out (extension), the plate and buttress work together to form a lateral "soft tissue wall" to control patella migration. The Breg PTO is typically used by physicians to prevent patella subluxation/dislocation and treat chondromalacia injuries. The Breg PTO brace is available in a standard neoprene or Airmesh material which is both breathable and latex-free. The product is a favorite because of its hinged design, unique buttress capabilities, and use of breathable materials. Use it for athletics and/or everyday activity for effective pain relief.

PTO Brace Features:

Patented Cawley Tension Hinge uses tension generated by the hinge bars to pull the buttress down around the patella to enhance patella stabilization.
Only patellofemoral brace on the market that works "dynamically" as patient goes through normal knee movement while walking and/or running.
Adjusts to whatever range of motion is necessary at the knee during bending and straightening out of the knee joint.
Progressive compression of the lateral soft tissue (peak force reached at full extension) surrounding the knee cap is applied enhancing the positive effects of the patella buttress.
Available in sizes XS-XXL.
PTO brace is available in standard neoprene or Airmesh material- a lycra/polyester material that breathes for comfort. Excellent for warmer climates.

Excellent for pain relief and use for patella maltracking and chrondomalacia. The open back model's opening behind the knee began raveling when I put it on immediately, because it appears to have no hem on the opening. Kim at DME called the manufacturer and they are sending me a replacement, with no hassle or problems. The customer service at DME is EXCELLENT making sure I am satisfied with my purchase. Andrew, the online help operator, walked me through the options and benefits of the Breg cooling systems. Since the purchase of the PTO brace, I have bought two more things from DME. Outstanding online retailer.

Picky about what I wear, but this one works very well. I was surprised, but my knee felt quite a bit better right away. I'll continue to use and suggest the brace to others that need something like this.
