The womens compression shorts are not made out of cotton Lycra which does not support the thigh and hip musculature with enough compression from an injury perspective. This fabric is made out of a three layer laminant which is thin and lightweight yet applies up to 18-20mmHg of compression. This product can be used for sports like running and volleyball, or as a typical under garment for recreational athletic pursuits. The womens compression shorts feature a solid waistband and a wider cut through the hips for enhanced comfort.

Ultima is a three layer laminate. Two nylon lycra layers sandwich an ultra-thin Smartskin membrane. This membrane gives BioSkin its strength and recovery. The breathability of the Smartskin membrane also allows for the release of moisture vapor. Ultima is the lowest profile material and offers the best dynamic radial stretch of any thigh wrap material on the market. Therefore, the BioSkin womens compression shorts will not stretch out and lose their shape and form like inferior cotton/Lycra models.

Women compression shorts are made of medical grade compression fabrics that will provide up to 7x more compression than cotton, Spandex, or Lycra materials. Customers with a medium to fleshy build, and/or those on the borderline of two sizes are urged to choose the larger size as these shorts definitely run on the tight side.
Application Instructions
BioSkin should be applied to dry skin. Oils, lotions and perspiration will make the support harder to put on and will make it will feel as if it's sized too small. Dry the area of application before applying support. Take the support with both hands and stretch the top and bottom of the support two to three times. This helps to relax the material before it gets broken-in.
1. Women's compression shorts are very compressive. Stretch the leg openings vigorously, prior to application.
2. Step into the shorts. Using both hands with thumbs against the thigh and hands extended, move hands down the lower leg, gathering the material. Pull shorts up, one leg at a time, until waistband is just above the knee.
3. Repeat the procedure, pulling up shorts, until waistband is at crotch level.
4. Once again, gather the material, and pull over buttocks one side at a time.
5. Continue pulling up to waist level. Adjust for comfort.
6. Bottom of shorts should fit about 2-3 inches above the knee. Shorts should fit snugly in the crotch.
