Townsend Rebel and Pro 
The Townsend Rebel Knee Brace is an ultra lightweight ACL brace designed to provide superb control of the knee before and after surgery. This Townsend knee brace features an advanced hinge design that controls motion, suspension and rotation of the brace while on the leg. The Townsend Rebel is made out of aircraft aluminum and is backed by a no migration guarantee that it will not slide down the leg while being worn. It features the patented TM5+ hinges which reduce shear forces to the knee and surrounding ligaments thus reducing any extra stress to a newly reconstructed knee, and encourages complete shell-to-leg contact throughout full flexion and extension of the knee- just like you would expect from a custom knee brace! Customers can mix and match different sized thigh shells with different sized lower leg shells to create their own custom Townsend Rebel model.
Every off-the-shelf Townsend Rebel come with a "Get It - Fit It Guarantee." Townsend Design is the only orthopedic manufacturer that will customize a prefabricated brace at no additional charge. The leg circumference measurement 6" above and below knee center, along with a medial-lateral width measurement ensures the brace will fit exactly to the patient's individual thigh and leg measurements.

Models:
- Townsend Rebel Pro: For contact sports; Constructed out of lightweight, high strength aircraft aluminum. Best choice for contact sports participation.
- Townsend Rebel: Good all purpose brace; Constructed out of aircraft aluminum. Good for everyday use and non-contact sports. participation
- Townsend Rebel Light: For women, children and non-contact sports; has a shorter frame than the Rebel and the Rebel Pro.
Optional Brace Frame Design Additions: These additional optional alterations to the shape of the brace frame should only be chosen if you fit precisely into the below descriptions. Otherwise stick with the regular brace frame design as shown in the above pictures. - MC (Maximum Control) Thigh: This option is an appropriate choice for someone who is overweight and therefore needs more thigh containment inside the brace. This feature adds an additional four inches of surface contact around the thigh compared to the regular frame design as pictured above. The Rollerblader above has the "Standard Thigh" design configuration.
- Optional Double Band Tibial Shell: This option is appropriate for someone needing extra support and/or lower leg containment like an individual involved in extreme sports or "high impact" contact sports. The rollerblader above has the "Standard Tibial Shell" design configuration.
Hinge Choices:
- TM5+ (standard): Has adjustable extension stops at 0, 5, 10, 15, and 20 degrees, AND adjustable flexion stops at 0, 30, 45, 60, 75, 90, and 110 degrees.
Townsend Rebel and Pro Sizing: Measure the thigh circumference 6" above mid patella, the knee width at mid patella, and the circumference of the leg 6" below mid patella. Also choose the correct brace length from the "Height of the Patient" chart below.

Height of the Patient: Next, choose the correct length of the brace based on your height.
- 13" length for 5'2" or shorter
- 14" length for 5'11"" or shorter
- 16" length for 6'0" or taller
