The Spinomed III posture brace is used as an effective treatment for osteoporosis resulting in an increased curvature of the thoracic spine region.   It consists of a moldable aluminum plate designed with a preset amount of thoracic curvature which can be easily molded to the individual contours of the mid back for a customized fit.  The Spinomed strapping system attaches to this vertical plate and traverse the front of the shoulders and the abdominal region to engage both the abdominal and the back extensor musculature.  This design actively improves one's posture.  The straps have easy to use velcro fasteners that allow for easy fitting adjustments by people of all ages and body dimensions.  The Spinomed can be adjusted individually to spinal curvature and body dimensions.  An optional abdominal and back plate insert set (both pictured below) can be purchased which increases both abdominal support, and limits rotation to enhance overall posture.  Otherwise, the brace is shipped with just the white-colored, aluminum vertical support.
