The Zensah NFL Skull Cap is an ultra-breathable, moisture wicking product that is used under a helmet for warmth and to wick perspiration away from the head.  It helps to regulate core body temperature by keeping the head area warm.  This skull cap is used by today's NFL and baseball players.  The specialized Meryl-brand fibers provide premium comfort, and breathability without feeling thick like inferior brands.  The non-polyester material is spun with silver ion threads to fight odor-producing bacteria from sweat, as well as, fight against MRSA infections which makes this NFL skull cap a standout when compared to typical brands that feature Spandex as the main component.  This model does not have any seams for enhanced comfort, and is designed to function as a "base layer" during the winter months - perfect for any outdoor sport!

 What is MRSA?

Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is a specific strain of the Staphylococcus aureus bacterium also commonly referred to as a STAPH infection.
Although outbreaks of MRSA usually have been associated with health-care institutions, MRSA is emerging as a cause of skin infections in high school and college athletics AND IS ON THE RISE.  Some of the athletes in the NBA who have previously had Staph infections include Grant Hill, Paul Pierce, and Drew Gooden.  MRSA is usually contracted by a break in the skin. It comes off the skin onto items such as towels, gym equipment, and body contacts in sports.  This fabric contains silver threads in carefully controlled ratios to completely kill the MRSA and vMRSA bacteria on contact.
Other NFL sports cap models do not feature advanced fabric construction. Their moisture wicking apparel is polyester based. Zensah Fabric is not polyester based, and uses a proprietary Meryl fabric which has silver ions woven throughout to provide the first line of defense against MRSA.
