| Model: Ulcer Management Kit Silver Compression  The Mediven Silver Compression Ulcer Kit is part of a specialized venous stasis treatment kit. The special feature of the kit is the elemental silver that is incorporated into the yarn material of the white colored wound care stocking. Silver is a classic tool in wound care, as even low concentrations has a persistent effect against a broad spectrum of bacteria. It prevents the production of odors and prevents the development of bacterial resistance. This moderate resting pressure is well tolerated by patients and allows for continuity of compression treatment (Note: While one mediven ulcer liner is being washed – if possible at 95° C - the another Mediven Ulcer silver compression knee-hi is available for continuous compression care).

1 beige Diabetic Medical Compression Stocking, also with an ankle pressure of 20 mmHg supports and reinforces the compression throughout the day and during exercise phases. Particularly in the acute phase of ulcer treatment, this ensures medically necessary compression pressure of 40 mmHg and a high working pressure are achieved by using this compression stocking on top of the Mediven Ulcer silver compression knee-hi. Indications: To promote venous return for the treatment of venous leg ulcers. Contraindications: This silver compression knee-hi is not intended to be used for arterial circulation disorders, right heart failure, massive edema of the legs, pulmonary edema,pre-existing gangrenous damage, neuropathy, and/or intolerability of the stocking fabric.
