Designed with the athlete in mind, this product is different than a typical pair of running tights for a man. This non-polyester product is made of ultra-breathable Meryl fibers for the best moisture-wicking capabilities of any material available today. The material is as comfortable to wear as a pair of Lycra running tights, and features silver threads which eliminate odor causing bacteria and prevents agianst Staph infections. Zensah is the only major sports apparrel manufacturer to provide this feature in their running tight offerings. This product is especially useful as a base layer in the winter as a pair of winter running tights, or it can be used in the hot and humid summer to keep you cool and dry.

What is Staff (MRSA)?

Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is a specific strain of the Staphylococcus aureus bacterium or STAPH infection.
Although outbreaks of MRSA usually have been associated with health-care institutions, MRSA is emerging as a cause of skin infections in high school and college athletics AND IS ON THE RISE.
Some of the althetes in the NBA who have had Staph infection include Grant Hill, Paul Pierce, and Drew Gooden.
MRSA is usually contrated by a break in the skin. It comes off the skin onto items such as towels, gym equipment, and body contacts in sports. Zensah fabrics contain silver threads in carefully controlled ratios to completely kill the MRSA and vMRSA bacteria on contact.
Other sports brands do not have silver ions embeeded in their fabric. Their mositure wicking appalerl is polyester based. Zensah Fabric is not polyester based, and uses a proprietary fabric which has silver ions embdedded inside to provide the first line of defense against MRSA.
