The Equalizer Walker is an affordable model designed to stabilize and protect the ankle and foot after suffering a fracture or a serious soft tissue sprain.   It is the lowest profile fixed walker on the market at just two pounds. The struts have a 5-7 degree flare out to the sides to conform to the shape of the lower leg.  The Equalizer Walker sole is specially designed to dissipate any shock from heel strike with its honeycomb construction inside the foot bed. The walker's sole is also designed to allow for a more natural walking pattern thus reducing stress on the hip and knee joints.   The open cell foam liner is easy to wrap around the leg and comfortably supports the foot and ankle to allow for proper healing of the injury.  The Equalizer secures easily with standard hook and loop fastener strips around the foot and leg.  Five straps are used to secure the walker around the leg.  This Ossur/Royce model can be used for sprains, non-displaced foot fractures, and any post surgical application where immobilization of the foot and lower leg is required.
