Husband cannot walk on his feet without this Orthowedge shoe due to neuropathy in both feet from hip replacement surgery. We have been buying from this company since 2013 or earlier. Once we were in Los Angeles visiting family when one of the boots broke. We called DME-Direct and even though they are mainly "online" the man working at the warehouse that day allowed us to come in and pick up the boots. He saved our vacation! Also, we live out of state and the same boots, available in our town, cost twice the amount we pay through DME-Direct. As my husband needs a new pair every 3 months, the cost savings is very important to us, living on social security. Thank you.

Great alternative to a boot for 5th metatarsal fracture

In my 9th week since my 5th metatarsal fracture. It didn't heal but I can weight bear on my heel now and found the perfect footwear to protect my foot inside the house. I use my airboot outside and this shoe inside the house. Bought a medium based on prior reviews. It was perfect, I wear size 8-women. Most of my toes are covered. The two pieces that join under the ankle Velcro steep could be a little more cushier. The order was made and to my shock, it was already filled and shipped out early next morning! Great service!
