The heavy padding underneath prevents any feeling of the aluminum stays up on top of the device. The plantar fasciitis night splint has elastic strapping underneath the foot that secures the foot properly for a more effective stretch. The product again is padded on all sides so that you'll be comfortable sleeping with it on while in bed.
