The McDavid 429 PSII hinged knee brace is a very popular model for providing maximum protection for the knee. It features higher grade molded condyle pads for superior fit and comfort against the sides of the joint.  It has a low profile design and fits underneath clothing and uniforms with ease.  The McDavid 429 also features geared polycentric hinges with hyperextension stops to mimic the knee joint motion.   They are made from high strength aircraft aluminum and can handle salt water.  McDavid's rigid uprights are designed to provide additional medial-lateral support on the sides of the brace.   It has a sewn in patella buttress that helps to capture the kneecap to assist in proper tracking during running.  The 429 PSII is offers maximum protection for any type of contact sport and can be used for rehabilitation after an injury to the ligaments of the knee.
