The Hely Weber Matt Strap is the foremost elbow band in many practices for bicipital tendonits and tennis elbow. This tennis elbow band features a uniue buttress using Spectron rubber to create a tacky quality to help keep the buttress in the desired location on the forearm. The product is constructed out of neoprene and is specifically sized for each patient's forearm size. Originally designed to treat patellar tendonitis, the Matt-Strap is constructed of universal presssure-sensitive neoprene combined with a unique foamed silicone buttress and covered with non-slip Spectron material. As tension is applied to the tendon during activity, the shock absorbing foamed silicone buttress effectively diffuses energy and reduces the tensile load that reaches the tendon insertion point. By diffusing the energy and reducing vibratory microtearing, irritation to the tendon insertion point is reduced, allowing the patient to continue activity, while also decreasing their healing time.
