The Hely Weber Hinged Shields Knee Brace provides superior control and support of the patello-femoral joint throughout full bending and straightening out of the leg. This product is an excellent patela instability knee brace that effectively stabilizes the patella for patients following patella subluxation and dislocation. This hinged knee brace has a low profile at only nine inches long, and utilizes both an independent thigh and calf strap to secure the product around any size knee, large or small. This product reduces that chance of dislocation of the kneecap by using an independent directional force flap which maintains proper patella stabilization independent of the rest of the brace. The patella buttress is made from Spectron rubber giving it a tacky quality to maintain proper contact around the patella even with aggressive use. The two wide bi-axial hinges help to provide more overall knee support compared to the regular Shields Brace and help to prevent against hyperextension injuries. To maximize patient comfort, this product is an anterior closure design, and is made from 1/8 inch, perforated neoprene which allows for moisture evaporation to help keep you cool and dry.
