The Donjoy OA Adjuster osteoarthritis knee brace is clinically proven to provide offloading for the knee and is ideally suited for active, adult patients with moderate to severe unicompartmental osteoarthritis, moderate to severe ligament instabilities, and for post-operative rehabilitation. This Donjoy knee brace is designed specifically for unloading either the medial or the lateral compartment and maximizes overall knee stability with its "Four Points of Leverage" brace design. Patients have control of the amount of offloading the Donjoy OA Adjuster delivers by simply adjusting the hinge with a hand-held tool pictured below. it redistributes loads away from the degenerative side over toward the healthy side of the knee. By shifting loads away from the injured side, this osteoarthritis knee brace improves walking tolerance and decreases daily pain inside the joint. The Arthritis Foundation has approved this model with an "Ease of Use" commendation for its simple to use features, while the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery rated it as being clinically effective at relieving pain. The frame is constructed of high strength 2021 aircraft aluminum and accomodates different size thighs while providing effective pain relief with kneeling, bending, and walking activities.
