The Donjoy MaxTrax Air Ankle Walker is designed to increase stability and help decrease pain and edema following trauma or post-operative procedures. This foam walker features adjustable air chambers on either side of the ankle to accommodate to changes in edema during rehab and to maximize patient compliance. An integrated pump design makes inflation of the air chambers on both sides of the ankle quick and easy - no messy air pumps! The Maxtrax walking brace has a durable foam liner and easy to adjust straps to secure the lower leg inside the boot during ambulation. This walking cast boot has a low profile along with a rubber rocker bottom sole to help promote a natural gait pattern, and to reduce pressure on the bottom of the foot. The fracture boot also has swiveling "D rings" to allow for both parallel or crisscross strapping.

Indications:
- Acute ankle sprains.
- Stress fractures of the lower leg.
- Soft tissue injuries (grade 1 sprains).
- Stress fractures and injuries of the foot/ankle.
- Bunionectomies.
- Metatarsal fractures.

- Liner Pad Kit. This is additional padding that fills in any gaps around the existing pad for the boot. You use this with the existing padding.

Available Option: The Achilles Wedge is a four inch neoprene padded foam wedge that is designed to fit under the heel when wearing a walking boot. It has 4 separate three-quarter inch tall sections that can be individually removed during achilles tendon rehab.
