 The Donjoy IROM Playmaker features both a range of motion hinge and a wraparound knee brace design. This allows the patient to control the amount of knee flexion with the added comfort of a wrap around design closing off around the front of the brace. If you have recently torn your ACL or have a meniscus tear/cartilage defect in need of protection, then this is a suitable mid-range product worth consideration. The hinges can limit motion in ten degree increments, and are designed to provide side to side ligamentous stability. This product features a "Four Points of Leverage" strapping design which means that the straps attach onto the hinge bars in such a way to provide enhanced ACL, PCL, LCL, and MCL stability. This wraparound brace is made out of 3/16 inch thickness for providing the knee with warmth which can aid in reducing inflammation.
