The Aircast XP Diabetic Walker is perfectly suited for managing foot ulcers associated with Diabetes. The walker comes standard with several unique features such as air cells which can be inflated to provide a comfortable stabilizing effect in conjunction with the semi-rigid outer shell.  This provides excellent reduction of shear forces and performs like a total contact cast (TCC).  A pressure guage, attached to the enclosed hand bulb, precisely monitors the pressure in each  air cell chamber.  The XP diabetic walker has a dual density sole designed to reduce pressure points under the foot.  The diabetic walker eliminates the need for removal and application of a TCC and allows easier skin and wound inspections by the physician.  The walker can also be secured closed with an optional Aircast Brace-Lok™ to help monitor patient progress. Extension straps are available to increase the strap length by 4" (10 cm) if necessary as an optional accessory as well.
