BioSkin Hinged Knee Brace and Patella Knee Brace

The BioSkin Hinged Knee Skin Front Closure is a front closure, hinged knee brace constructed of neoprene-free, Bio Skin 2sL material. The inner surface has a soft, anti-microbial micro-fleece that quickly wicks perspiration away from the skin. The outer surface of the 2sL material is "velcro hook" compatible.

• The Hinged Knee Skin Front Closure also serves as an orthopedic patella knee brace to stabilize the patella during sport activities. The product comes with two removable patella buttresses to customize the level of knee support as a patella stabilizer. The product has lightweight offset bicentric padded hinges that reduce pressure at the knee joint for increased comfort.
• Its unique strapping system minimizes migration down the leg to ensure a secure fit.
• Donut and horseshoe buttresses can be placed in position to allow custom patella control.

• Lateral collateral and medial collateral ligament tear or sprain

Available Sizes: For the best fit, keep in mind that BioSkin makes their products specifically for very fit, toned individuals that are serious athletes. The Hinged Knee Skin is also meant to fit snuggly, but if you are on the border of two sizes and aren't extremely toned, choose the larger of the two sizes. While standing with your foot flat on the floor, 3 Measurements should be taken:

Measure at 7" above mid-patella.
Measure at mid-patella.
Measure at 6" below mid-patella (the thickest part of the calf).

Then, compare those measurements to these:

S = 18-20" @ 7" above patella, 13-14" @ mid-patella, 10-12" at largest part of calf

M = 20-22" @ 7" above patella, 14-16" @ mid-patella, 12-14" at largest part of calf

L = 22-25" @ 7" above patella, 16-17" @ mid-patella, 14-16" at largest part of calf

XL = 25-28" @ 7" above patella, 17-19" @ mid-patella, 16-18" at largest part of calf

XXL = 28-32" @ 7" above patella, 19-21" @ mid-patella, 18-20" at largest part of calf

Hinged Knee Front Closure Application Instructions:

Bio Skin should be applied to dry skin. Oils, lotions and perspiration will make the support harder to put on and will make it will feel as if it's sized too small. Dry the area of application before applying support. Take the support with both hands and stretch the top and bottom of the support two to three times. This helps to relax the material before it gets broken-in.
1. Begin application while in a sitting position with the knee slightly bent.
2. Holding the brace behind the knee, attach wrap portion above the knee first and then attach the wrap below the knee.

3. Attach and secure the straps behind and in front of the knee.
NOTE: Hinges may be removed to bend the hinge to the shape of the leg for a better fit.
