BioSkin Gladiator DT

The BioSkin Gladiator DT Knee Brace is a front closure, limited range of motion hinged knee brace constructed of neoprene-free Bio Skin 2sL material. The inner surface of the 2sL material has a soft, anti-microbial micro-fleece lining that quickly wicks perspiration away from the skin to keep you cool and dry when using it during athletic competition. The outer surface of the 2sL material is "velcro hook" compatible to just like on typical hinged knee support braces. Coupled with strong polycentric hinges to mimic the knee joint's normal movement, the Gladiator DT can be used for rehabilitation and treatment of mild to moderate Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), Posterior cruciate ligament (PCL), Medial collateral ligament (MCL), and Lateral collateral ligament (LCL) injuries, as well as, for general purpose knee protection. This model can be used for athletic sports like skiing, football, basketball, and even soccer.

Available Sizes for the BioSkin Gladiator DT Front Closure Knee Brace: For the best fit, keep in mind that BioSkin makes their products specifically for very fit, toned individuals that are serious athletes. The Gladiator DT is also meant to fit snug, but if you are on the border of two sizes and aren't extremely toned, choose the larger of the two sizes. While standing with your foot flat on the floor, 3 Measurements should be taken:

Measure at 7" above mid-patella.
Measure at mid-patella.
Measure at 6" below mid-patella (the thickest part of the calf).

Then, compare those measurements to these:

S = 18-20" @ 7" above patella, 13-14" @ mid-patella, 10-12" at largest part of calf

M = 20-22" @ 7" above patella, 14-16" @ mid-patella, 12-14" at largest part of calf

L = 22-25" @ 7" above patella, 16-17" @ mid-patella, 14-16" at largest part of calf

XL = 25-28" @ 7" above patella, 17-19" @ mid-patella, 16-18" at largest part of calf

XXL = 28-32" @ 7" above patella, 19-21" @ mid-patella, 18-20" at largest part of calf

Gladiator DT Knee Brace Application Instructions:

BioSkin should be applied to dry skin. Oils, lotions and perspiration will make the support harder to put on and will make it feel as if it's sized too small. Dry the area of application before applying the support. Take the support with both hands and stretch the top and bottom of the support two to three times. This helps to relax the material before it gets broken-in.

1. Before applying the BioSkin Gladiator DT, determine if the hinges need to be adjusted to fit the leg's contour.

Lay the knee brace on the medial (inside) side of the leg and locate the hinge in its proper position over the condyle (the bony prominence on the side of the knee), and adjust the struts accordingly by bending them into proper alignment with the contour of the leg.

Repeat that process for the lateral (outside) portion of the leg.

2. Wrap and secure the knee brace below the knee first followed by the wrap above the knee.
