| Model: AFO Brace The Step Smart AFO Brace from Swede-O is designed to absorb stress as the heel strikes the ground and gently raise the foot into dorsiflexion on the swing through phase of the step. This ankle foot orthoses uses a special Jacob Joint for assistance and comes with three compression components that offer varying degrees of shock absorption. This allows the practitioner to adjust the assistance level to match the weight and step length of the patient. A guide is enclosed with the AFO brace to provide assistance in determinimg the correct compression component to use based on the weight and stride length of the individual.
AFO Brace - Step Smart Features: - Comes in two sizes to fit most individuals.
- Provides customized toe off assistance through different compression components.
- Fits inside all shoes and does not subscribe to foot length and lower leg height considerations like other models.
Indications: AFO Brace Sizes: Choose right or left and S/M or L/XL. - S/M fits heel widths up to 63mm (2½ inches) and up to
a Men’s shoe size 9 or Women’s size 10. The end of the footplate should
land behind the metatarsal heads. The S/M footplate length is 6¼”.
- L/XL fits heel widths up to 76mm (3 inches) and up to a
Men’s shoe size 7 and higher, Women’s 8+. The end of the footplate should
land behind the metatarsal heads. The L/XL footplate length is 6¾”.
