The Medi Achimed is great multi-purpose achilles tendon brace that is designed to relieve tension and pain as a result of tendonitis and bursitis.  The compressive fabric and the silicone insert exerts a massaging effect and promotes the healing process.  Two heal wedges also come with the achilles tendon brace to raise the heel to take stress off of the affected area.  As symptoms improve they can be removed to low the heel back down into a more normal tensioned state.  When the product is pulled up into the proper position, the achilles tendon brace positions your tendon right in the recess of the silicone insert for proper pain relief.
